A step-by-step guide to registering an account on DSF's website.
As part of our new website, a number of changes have been made to our user accounts. Activating your account on our new website is an important step to take as it will allow you to:
- Update your contact details
- Manage family members and sub-users of your account
- View and track orders made through our new online store including instant access to copies of invoices
- Check current library loans and reserve new items (only available to current DSF members)
- View and manage current bookings for professional learning held onsite at DSF
In addition, if you have a current membership you will also have access to:
- Member only resources including digital copies of our Bulletin and several member-only literacy resources
- Automatic application of member discounts to online orders and event bookings (when logged in to your account)
- The ability to view details about your current membership including expiry dates
To activate or register an account with DSF please follow the steps below. Please note: If you had an account on our old website, it may be the case that your old account has been transferred to our new website. If this is the case, you will need to "claim" and activate your account and will be unable to register a new account with the same email address. Please see instructions at the bottom of this page for details of how to activate an old account.
New to DSF?
To register a new account with DSF please follow the steps below. You will be asked to provide an email address and to select a password. If you were unable to register an account, and received an error that stated that your email was already in use, it is most likley that you had an account on our old website and this account has been moved to our new website. If this is the case, you will need to follow the instructions for activating an existing account.
Returning to DSF?
If you had an account on our old website, it may be the case that your old account has been transferred to our new website. If this is the case, you will need to "claim" and activate your account and will be unable to register a new account with the same email address.
Registering a new account
Click on either become a member or register a free account links. Please note: registering an account with DSF is free, however, some benefits are restricted to members only.
Complete the form, making sure you indicate whether you are registering as a school or an individual.
Once you select the green register button, you will be automatically logged in to your account and will be able to navigate to your account settings (My account) to update your contact details. To return to the DSF website, click on the go to public website link at the top of the screen.
If you were unable to register an account, and received an error that stated that your email was already in use, it is most likley that you had an account on our old website and this account has been moved to our new website. To activate this account, please follow the instructions below.
Activating an old account
Enter your email address and click login. Please note: You should leave the password field blank at this time and you must use the email address that has already been registered on the old system.
After entering your email address and logging in you will be directed to a welcome screen and asked to set a password. To do this, please click on the green password reset button. This will send an automated message to your nominated email address.
Open up your email program on your device and follow the prompts to set your new password.
Return to our website and login with your email and your new password. While you are there, you should spend some time checking out our new website and the range of information and resources freely available.
