This full day workshop is for practitioners who wish to extend and focus their use of Talk for Writing though structured planning. The training will look at using the Talk for Writing process in an effective planning model that guarantees a positive impact on writing standards. This will involve looking at yearly, termly and unit planning; linking units together; and creating the connection between toolkits and grammar teaching. Delegates will be able to adapt the model for their settings and will have the opportunity to begin planning a unit during the course of the day.
Prior attendance at a two-day Talk for Writing workshop is a pre-requisite for this workshop
Presenter: Sarah Grunwald
Sarah trained as both a speech pathologist and a primary school teacher. She is dedicated to using high-quality evidence-based programs to teach literacy skills and has been impressed by the outstanding achievements of students attending Talk for Writing schools. Sarah is experienced in planning and delivering Talk for Writing in small group and individual settings, for students with literacy learning difficulties, language impairments and developmental disabilities.
