Sounds-Write© is an evidence-based linguistic phonics program utilising an exciting and highly successful approach to the teaching of reading and spelling.
This four day intensive course offers an instructional method that is structured, cumulative, sequential and explicit; all of which are strongly recommended for teaching children to read and spell. Attendees are provided with the opportunity to practise the necessary teaching skills and extend their knowledge of the components of effective reading and spelling instruction.
Sounds-Write© is developmentally appropriate for beginning readers in pre-school, years 1, 2 & 3 and also offers fast and highly effective intervention for students at all year levels who have fallen behind in their reading and spelling from Year 3 onwards.
This workshop is specifically for student teachers, speech pathologists and psychologists nearing the end of their training. In order to ensure the cost is as affordable as possible, we are reducing the fees by 50%. A current student ID is required at time of registration. The course is not catered so please BYO lunch.
