Developing a strong vocabulary is essential if children are to become successful literacy learners. Word Aware is a whole school approach which promotes vocabulary development. It is an evidence-based program which provides a structured process to help support vocabulary enrichment in all students and particularly for students with special educational needs and children with English as a second language.
In this workshop, Registered Trainer Jeannie Reid, will take participants through this fast-paced, fun and interactive workshop, and provide lots of practical ideas on how to develop vocabulary in the classroom. Attendees will leave well-equipped to start Word Aware with their students immediately.
It is essential to have the Word Aware book when attending the course. To pre-order your copy please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
