This full day workshop is for practitioners who wish to extend and focus their use of Talk for Writing through structured planning. The training will look at using the Talk for Writing process in an effective planning model that guarantees impact on writing standards. Delegates will be able adapt the model for their settings and will have the opportunity to begin planning a unit, based on the process, during the day
Prior attendance at a two-day Talk for Writing workshop is a pre-requisite for this workshop.
Presenter: Sarah Grunwald
Sarah trained as both a speech pathologist and a primary school teacher. She is dedicated to using high-quality evidence-based programs to teach literacy skills and has been impressed by the outstanding achievements of students attending TfW schools. Sarah is experienced in planning and delivering Talk for Writing in small group and individual settings, for students with literacy learning difficulties, language impairments and developmental disabilities. In addition, Sarah regularly delivers comprehensive training in TfW in schools across Perth.
