Additional support with reading, writing and spelling
Some children need more help learning to read and write than others, even with the best teaching methods at school. DSF is offering a series of ‘small group’ sessions using the Sounds-Write program throughout Term 4 (2019) for students needing extra assistance to develop appropriate reading, spelling and writing skills Sounds-Write
Sounds-Write is an evidence based phonics program utilising an exciting and highly successful approach to the teaching of reading, spelling and writing. The program is developmentally appropriate for beginning readers and also offers fast and highly effective intervention for children at all levels who have fallen behind in their reading and spelling.
