About the Supervision series
This series of professional supervision sessions is designed for small groups of practising Psychologists keen to improve their skills in the assessment and identification of specific learning disorders – using DSM 5 criteria.
The four sessions (4 x 2.5 hours) are designed to equip Psychologists with a better understanding of the defining features of learning disorders, how to best identify them within the school environment, how to select appropriate testing materials and how to interpret the results in such a way that the Psychologist can better inform teaching staff about the practical implications of learning disorders within the teaching and learning environment. Participants will be provided with a number of resources and readings that will assist in the assessment of students with learning disorders, including a comprehensive resource USB.
This series of supervision sessions is designed as active continuing professional development and as such, all participants will be provided with the opportunity for case discussion and review, peer supervision and group supervision with an AHPRA approved supervisor. All necessary materials and readings will be provided prior to each session.
Bookings are now open for the professional Supervision series to be held in Perth during term 1, 2019.
