- What can I do at home to help my child develop their numeracy skills?
- What strategies can I use at home?
Parents often have these types of questions and more in relation to helping their child with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Parents will be given practical strategies for supporting their child at home. There will be ample opportunity for discussion and to ask questions as needed.
Presenter: Kim Bloor, BA (Hons), MPsych (Ed. & Dev.), Dip. Ed, (Spec. Ed.). Kim is a Psychologist at DSF Literacy and Clinical Services where she assesses children, teenagers, and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. She is an experienced presenter and also consults with parents on appropriate evidence-based classroom and individual strategies to improve literacy and numeracy.
Facilitator: Katrina Farrant, BSc (Hons), MPsych (Educational) is a Psychologist at DSF Literacy and Clinical Services. She assesses children, teenagers, and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities, and also consults with parents and teachers on appropriate evidence-based classroom and individual strategies to improve literacy skills.
