John Worsfold: Exploring Successful Schools – just how important are the leaders? 219JW

The success of an organisation is influenced by many factors but perhaps none more so than the approach taken by its leaders. The continuous decision making, ongoing analysis of performance and progress, staff management, and forward planning – are all leadership concerns. This holds true for sporting teams, large corporations, and, of course, schools.

How can the coach, CEO or Principal ensure that a strong focus on success remains in place; whilst new talent is nurtured, existing team members are valued, and community expectations are not only met, but exceeded? It is a huge challenge!

In this informative, valuable and entertaining session, John Worsfold will take Educational Leaders through some of the lessons he has learned as a highly successful AFL team member, captain and senior coach, as well as through his experience as a Leadership Coach in the business and corporate domain. The session will focus on the importance of effective communication, strategy development and relational trust – both within a team and by the wider community.

Please join us for breakfast at the University of Western Australia Club to hear from John and to connect with other Educational Leaders.
