Using Technology to Access the Curriculum
Carol Allen is a highly sought-after School Improvement Advisor for ICT and students with learning difficulties in the UK. She has taught since 1980 in both mainstream schools – primary and secondary, and schools for students with learning difficulties. Carol was recently recognised as one of 2018’s top ten educators using technology by the UK parliament.
It is clear that having access to the right technology to support an educational activity or target is essential for many students, including those with learning difficulties. However, it is important that the technology does not lead the learning.
In this half-day session, designed specifically for parents, Carol will provide a range of ideas and engaging strategies that can be used both at home and in the classroom.
